Firefighters 'Stuff-A-Bus' in Canoga Park to Support Charity Toy Drive

Thursday, December 08, 2011 |

Please join Los Angeles Firefighters in the West San Fernando Valley this Friday, as we gather with friends and family at the Westfield Topanga Mall to "Stuff-A-Bus" full of new unwrapped toys and sporting goods to help the Spark of Love Toy Drive for Needy Children!

Friday, December 9, 2011
4:30 AM to 6:30 PM
Westfield Topanga Mall **
6600 Topanga Canyon Boulevard
Canoga Park, CA 91303

** Sears parking lot near California Pizza Kitchen, southwest corner of the mall.

The success of Spark of Love relies upon the goodwill of people like you. Your donation of a new unwrapped toy or sporting good will be gratefully collected for local distribution to a needy child - who would otherwise go without a gift this holiday season. Thanks for helping make the magic happen!

Dear JL in canoga park,

The Spark of Love Toy Drive was designed to help people like you, who are in need. Please know that the event this Friday in Canoga Park is exclusively a *collection event*, from which donated items will be taken quickly to a sorting facility, where off-duty firefighters and volunteers are waiting.

From the sorting facility, the items are prepared for delivery to pre-identified families in need. These families are usually (and in accordance with program protocol must be) brought to our attention via established charitable organizations, such as schools, houses of worship, daycare programs, and child welfare organizations.

We encourage you to contact one of the aforementioned types of agencies or organizations. Often they already have a program in place to bring the generously donated items to their clients in need. If you or they need additional information, please call the City of Los Angeles Spark of Love information hotline at (213) 626-2871

Please accept our best wishes for this holiday season and in the year to come!

Respectfully Yours in Safety and Service,

LAFD Crew 3 Members will be out bright and early assisting with this event. Take a moment to drop off a toy and say "Hi" to the great volunteers that make this outstanding event happen!
