City of Hope is a world class organization with many fine caring and compassionate staff members working there. I have seen first hand having had a relative been hospitalized there what a great place it is and how three fine agencies the LAFD, LAPD and LASO are teaming up to help this great hospital. Keep up the good work.
Anonymous 11:47,
Thank you for sharing such a strong personal experience regarding cancer, your family and the City of Hope.
As firefighters, we know - often firsthand, the need for quality care from compassionate caregivers when fighting cancer.
Many of us are indeed inspired in our daily work of helping others in the community, by having witnessed the compassion, focus and caring you describe.
Though preliminary information indicates that no member of the LAFD will have the honor of entering the ring this year at the Quiet Cannon, we will be in the stands with our friends and families, cheering loudly for the sportsmanlike competition that benefits those who are the bravest warriors of all.
Respectfully Yours in Safety and Service,
Brian Humphrey
