On Friday, April 25, 2008 at 7:00 PM, 3 Companies of Los Angeles Firefighters, 1 LAFD Rescue Ambulance, 3 Arson Units, 1 Urban Search and Rescue Unit, 1 EMS Battalion Captain, and 1 Battalion Chief Officer Command Team, under the direction of Battalion Chief Chris Kawai responded to a Fire at 4607 W. Prospect Ave. in Los Feliz.
Firefighters discovered a small fire inside the Mount Hollywood Congregational Church. The fire was extinguished causing only minor damage to the church. There were no injuries. Monetary loss from the fire is still being tabulated, while the cause of the blaze remains the focus of an active investigation by the multi-agency House of Worship Arson Task Force.
