North Hollywood Event Will Support Firefighters
Prior to this week's tragic death of Los Angeles Firefighter Brent Lovrien, the Fire Family Foundation had planned a fundraising event at the Cold Stone Creamery in North Hollywood.
As Brent would have wanted, we are pleased to say the event will go on:

The good folks at this Cold Stone Creamery have pledged a generous percentage of proceeds from this Saturday's sales to benefit the Fire Family Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization providing financial assistance to Firefighters, their families and charities that support the fire service throughout California.
We hope you will join Firefighters and their families throughout the day in North Hollywood by enjoying some wonderful ice cream - and at the same time supporting a worthy cause.

We have just learned that the Cold Stone Creamery in North Hollywood mentioned above, will be supporting the Fire Family Foundation throughout this year.
A percentage of their sales from the *last Saturday* of each month in 2008 will be donated to the Fire Family Foundation!
We offer a respectful tip o' the LAFD helmet to the good folks at the Cold Stone Creamery in North Hollywood, for their commitment to helping Firefighter families in need throughout the Golden State.
