    Thank you for the link showing me that animal plague was common in the western US via the CDC article.
    Yet another reason we should be careful around wildlife, adding that to hantavirus and even avian influenza.

    Don't get me wrong - I'm all for separating fact from fiction regarding disease, but can't we use the less-sensational "Black Death" when referring to this infectious malady?
